The Oberoi
One of the world’s premier five-star resort groups, with properties in Morocco and Mauritius competing for the same international traveller.
The context
We handle digital advertising delivery for The Oberoi’s Morocco and Mauritius properties, with the objective of bringing high-value, intent-led travellers to the site rather than volume.
What was disconnected
Long-haul luxury resorts have long consideration windows and international audiences. Activity built around branded search alone captures the demand that already exists and creates none of it — and in four markets with different languages, that ceiling arrives quickly.
What we changed
Google Ads running discovery and branded campaigns in multiple languages across four key markets for both properties.
Display remarketing built to bring engaged users back and keep the brand present through a long decision — which also feeds the branded campaign rather than competing with it.
Social advertising built on audiences derived from website intent, sign-ups and lookalikes, running as seasonal awareness campaigns.
Which disciplines were involved
Growth, working with the resort teams and alongside The Oberoi’s wider marketing.
What improved
A measurably better digital footprint across both properties, with awareness activity feeding the intent-led campaigns rather than running in parallel to them.
What the work taught
In long-consideration luxury travel, top-funnel and branded activity are not separate strategies competing for the same budget. One is how the other gets its audience.
